Most of our techniques are meant to be used on the street, but can be incorporated into many different disciplines

In order to optimize your striking power you need to have proper body alignment and positioning. If you are crossing your body, leaning, or twisted, your strikes will be weaker and can loose balance. This can contribute to your vulnerability, allowing you to be controlled, and weaken the strikes you are throwing.
You should always have a checklist in your head of at least 5 techniques that you can go to in an emergency to stop or get away from an attacker. These should be tailored to you and your abilities so that they are as accurate and useful as possible, and easily accessable when needed. They can be pressure point, strikes to vital areas, or a mix of both.
